📖 Verse of the Day
“When you are sad, no one else feels the pain; and when you are happy, no one else can really feel the joy.” — Proverbs 14:10 ERV
📚 Lesson of the Day
We are alone in our own heads. No matter how close you are to someone, they can’t fully feel what you feel. Your bitterness is yours. Your joy is yours. That can feel lonely, but it also means your relationship with God is uniquely yours too.
- You are alone in your heart. That sounds harsh, but it’s actually freeing. Nobody else feels exactly what you feel. Your spouse, your parents, your in-laws — they can sympathize with you, but they can’t fully enter your heart. Each heart is its own little world.
- Stop expecting people to fully get you. So much frustration comes from wanting other people to understand your pain or celebrate your joy the way you do. Your joy is yours. When you accept that, you stop being disappointed when people don’t respond the way you hoped.
- Take it to the One who truly knows. God knows your heart. He searches our hearts and truly knows us all individually. So when you’re feeling unseen or misunderstood by people, remember you are fully seen by God.
💭 Encouragement of the Day
Real peace comes from God. Go to God about everything. He wants to have that kind of relationship that you yourself are looking for. You won’t find anyone who understands you more than God. He loves you and wants to spend every waking moment with you. He feels your pain, and He feels your joy. He doesn’t just guess what you are feeling; He knows. Whatever you are feeling today, instead of looking for people to understand you and what you are going through, go to the Father who not only knows and understands you but will also comfort and celebrate you.
🙏 Prayer of the Day
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for being a God who cares enough to search our hearts. Forgive us when we overlook You and reach out to people who aren’t capable of knowing us in the way that You do. Help us to see that You are all that we need and give us peace in being known by You. May our relationship with You be the most important relationship in our lives.
