📖 Verse of the Day
“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” — Ephesians 4:32
📚 Lesson of the Day
Today, think about the relationships that you have. It seems like the people who you love the most and who say that they love you are the ones who cause you the most pain. When someone you care about hurts you, whether intentional or not, it hurts far worse than if a stranger did it. When this occurs, it’s hard to forgive them. However, they need your forgiveness, and you need to forgive. If you don’t forgive them, then:
- God doesn’t forgive you
- Stress and strain build up, and that causes sickness in your body.
- Relationships die, which causes a ripple effect in the family or friend circle.
Therefore, forgive no matter how hurt you feel. Let it go and show love towards that person—they will thank you, God will forgive you, and relationships will heal.
💭 Encouragement of the Day
No matter how bad you feel or how hard life is for you today, trust God to help you and to heal you. Just ask Him and He will.
🙏 Prayer of the Day
Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for being a caring and loving God. You forgave us for all of the wrongs that we’ve committed throughout our lifetimes. Without Your forgiveness, we would all be lost and doomed to everlasting separation from You. You suffered for our salvation, and You have a right to ask us to forgive those who hurt us. The best part about us letting go and giving You our pain is that You will comfort us and bless us—and the person who hurt us will learn how to love and therefore have an opportunity to get to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. The ripple effect will be blessings for all involved. In Jesus’ name, we pray, amen.
